Luciano Amaral da Silva Alves (born October 20, 1982 in Campina Grande, Paraíba), Luciano or Amaral, is a Brazilian footballer who played for Apollon Limassol, as a left defender.
After playing with a host of modest clubs in his beginnings, Amaral began playing professionally with Avaí Futebol Clube in 2006, moving to Associação Atlética Caldense, also in that year.
In 2007, he was signed to Portugal's Vitória de Guimarães from Villa Rio Esporte Clube, as the Minho club had just returned from the second division; he contributed with 12 league matches as the side overachieved for a final third place, ahead of S.L. Benfica for a UEFA Champions League qualification.
Towards the end of his second season, Luciano was suspended by Vitória and eventually released, returning to his country with América Futebol Clube (RN), still owned by Villa Rio. After two years with Coritiba Foot Ball Club, in the same predicament, he returned to Portugal, signing with C.S. Marítimo in late May 2010.
